Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make partial payments?

Yes. Partial payments are accepted during the tax collection period.

What if my taxes are paid through escrow?

If your taxes are escrowed, your mortgage company typically submits payment on your behalf. You are still responsible for confirming payment was made by the due date.

What if I mail my payment near the due date?

To avoid penalty, payments should be received by the due date unless a legal postmark exception applies. If you are close to the deadline, consider using in-person payment or the drop box.

What happens if I miss the winter deadline?

After the winter tax collection period closes, unpaid taxes are transferred to the Antrim County Treasurer for delinquent collection. Once transferred, payments must be made to the County.

Delinquent Taxes

If winter property taxes remain unpaid after the close of winter collection, they are transferred to the Antrim County Treasurer.
